Welcome to the Caroline on Design Simply Christmas Home Tour! I can’t believe this is my third year sharing my home all decked out for the holidays.
Each year I add a few new pieces of decor (and there are some beauties this year!), but I always stick to a neutral palette with pops of color.
Go grab a peppermint latte or peppermint schnapps (depending on the time of day) and join me for a peek inside my holiday home!

SIMPLY CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR 2020
Let’s start with my favorite part of my home … my foyer and stairs. This just so happens to be what you would first see if you were actually touring my home in person.
I used to hang faux flocked sprigs on my stairs, but last year I switched to this beautiful Hearth and Hand faux garland with berries. It’s hard to capture its beauty in a photo.
In case you’re wondering how I secure the garland, I tie it (tight!) with this thin twine (every 3rd or so spindle) and this faux garland twisty tie periodically for extra support.
NEUTRAL CHRISTMAS DINING ROOM
Just like my ‘regular’ decor, I use texture to add depth to my VERY neutral dining room when I decorate for the holidays. I wish I were a better photographer, so I could really capture all the texture and detail in this room for you.
WHITE KITCHEN WITH NEUTRAL CHRISTMAS DECOR
After seven years in my home, I still LOOOOVE my simple white and grey kitchen. However, I love it, even more, when I add pops of greenery for the holidays!
Confession … I kept last year’s wreath up the entire year (it was the same wreath as this year but I cut the bells off). I removed it only to put up this Hearth and Hand Magnolia wreath with bells when I decorated for Christmas this year.
GLITTER HOUSES + VELVET TREES
As much as I looove neutral decor, I equally love bursts of color! Two of my favorite spots in my holiday home are my basement stair landing which has my colorful Cody Foster glitter houses and my second-floor hallway where I added colorful velvet trees this year.
CAROLINE ON DESIGN CHRISTMAS GREAT ROOM
I completely changed up my mantel this year (you can see last year’s mantel in my 2019 Christmas tour). I LOVE how it turned out. It’s so simple, yet elegant.
I absolutely love my new gold starbursts from good ole’ Tar-jay. I also added a simple beaded garland as well as this new faux greenery garland.
All stockings were lovingly made by my mama :).
