I’m talking about wallpaper!! I know, I know … the word wallpaper can stir up FEAR in people immediately! I’m here to tell you that wallpaper does NOT have to be scary! It’s actually really fun!
In this post, I’ll share my own experiences with wallpaper, as well as what to expect regarding cost and ease of use. I’ll even share wallpaper options for any commitment-phobes out there!

WALLPAPER … SAY WHAT?!
Wallpaper is current, beautiful and COMPLETELY transforms a room!
If you are on the fence about adding wallpaper to your home, just know that I was in your shoes about 8 years ago when I had my first paper install. I was TERRIFIED! I didn’t know what to expect. I was afraid I would hate it immediately. I left the house while my wallpaper installer did his thing. (I was too scared to watch it go up!)
I came home later that day to see the finished product. Once I saw the transformation, I couldn’t believe I hadn’t tried wallpaper earlier! I was HOOKED!

IS WALLPAPER EXPENSIVE?!
Wallpaper can cost a little more than paint, BUT it isn’t as expensive as you might think. It can be quite affordable to purchase and have professionally installed. As with ANY home décor, you can find inexpensive options up to very expensive wallpaper products.
Wallpaper is not expensive to hang … or even to remove. My professional installer charges only $30 per roll to hang. (Not bad at all!) He charges very little to remove wallpaper as well … and he can have the paper down SO FAST!
You can avoid these costs completely if you are an avid DIYer (which I am NOT!).
IS THERE WALLPAPER FOR COMMITMENT PHOBES?!
YES! Many companies do offer removable or temporary wallpaper. This is a GREAT option if you are a commitment-phobe when it comes to decorating!
I personally have not tried temporary paper because I am ALL IN when it comes to wallpaper! I know that many people use (and love) removable wallpaper! Some companies that offer temporary paper include: Target, Wayfair, West Elm, Pottery Barn Teen, Etsy, and Amazon.
When considering wallpaper for the first time, I recommend hanging it in a powder room, laundry room, or another room that is hidden (just in case you don’t love it immediately).

Wallpaper has been uber popular for YEARS, and I don’t see this home décor ‘trend’ ending any time soon! There are thousands of patterns and options to choose from … even temporary paper for those of you who aren’t yet completely committed!
