BEST EXTERIOR WHITE PAINT COLORS

I don’t know about you but I happen to LOVE the look of a creamy white painted brick home 🙌. If I were building today, there’s a strong chance I would go with this look for my home. And because I love to daydream about my future home, I decided to round up some inspiration for the best exterior white paint colors!

The homes in the ‘Best Exterior White Paint Colors’ blog post will give YOU some serious ‘color’ inspiration if you are in the process of trying to find the perfect white to paint your new (or existing) brick home.

10 WHITE PAINT COLORS THAT DESIGNERS LOVE

Selecting a paint color (in general) is overwhelming. Selecting a white paint can be even more intimidating because there are literally hundreds (possibly thousands) of options to choose from.

Honestly, it can be one of the hardest ‘colors’ to choose from.

In my ’10 White Paint Colors that Designers Love’ blog post, I’ve narrowed the vast amount of choices down to 10 white paint colors that designers love and use on repeat (because the colors are THAT good).

BEST NEUTRAL PAINT COLORS

Dark paint may be the latest ‘trend’, but neutral walls in your home will ALWAYS be a timeless classic.

If you’re on the hunt for the perfect neutral, you’ll find it in my curated list of ‘8 Popular Sherwin Williams Neutral Paint Colors’.

In this blog post, I share top neutral paint colors, as well as why it is CRUCIAL that you sample the colors in your OWN home before making a final decision.

PEEL AND STICK PAINT SAMPLES

Samplize peel and stick paint samples make sampling paint colors SO much easier (and cleaner).

This is your no-mess, simple way to see how potential paint colors will look in your home.

After reading the ‘Peel and Stick Paint Samples Review’ blog post, you’ll know exactly what peel and stick paint samples are and where you can buy samples of your favorite paint brands.

Plus, you’ll get my honest opinion of these paint decals (as well as the results of my ‘color accuracy experiment’).

4 STEPS TO CHOOSE A PAINT COLOR

I think we can ALL agree that it’s HARD to choose a paint color because there are literally thousands of choices and the samples are so microscopic.

In the ‘4 Steps to Choose a Paint Color’ blog post, I share four EASY steps for you to get a much better idea of what a paint color will look like on a larger scale. Use all of these methods (combined) the next time you need to choose a paint color.

PAINT SHEEN GUIDE

News Flash … not only do you need to choose a paint color, but you also need to select a paint sheen. And certain sheens go best in certain areas of your home.

In the ‘Ultimate Cheat Sheet for Paint Sheens’ blog post, we cover the various different paint sheens, as well as what sheen works best in different parts of your home. I also share what sheens I used in my own home :).

All right, there you have it … a roundup of all of my best paint blog posts that together form one ultimate paint guide! Go ahead and read through all (or some) of these blog posts to help you confidently choose the best paint color(s) for your new (or existing) home. Happy painting!

Ultimate Paint Guide for Your New Home

    Hi Carrie,
I sure have loved scrolling through your pages.
We are building a smaller home after living in a beautiful farmhouse. I am in love with all things white. How can I make my new home not seem like a hospital. I like simple also. Love wood, brushed nickel. Thoughts appreciated. Can’t wait to keep searching your pictures. Cheers, Marie

    • White doesn’t have to feel like a hospital! You can warm it up with natural wood accents and your soft ‘finishes’ (i.e. furniture, pillows, and window treatments).

This is the ultimate guide for painting your new home! We’ll cover everything from choosing the right paint to storing your paint supplies.

Choosing the right paint is essential for getting the look you want for your new home. There are a few things to consider when selecting paint, such as the finish, color, and type of paint. The finish is the glossiness of the paint and can range from high gloss to flat. The color is, of course, up to you! And there are different types of paint for different surfaces, such as oil-based or water-based paints.

Once you’ve selected the perfect paint, it’s time to start painting! But before you do, be sure to properly store your paint supplies. This includes your paint brushes, rollers, drop cloths, and other painting tools. A storage unit is the perfect place to keep your supplies safe and organized.

Thanks for reading! We hope this guide was helpful in painting your new home.
