Whether you are in the midst of building your dream home or you’re doing a much-needed renovation to your outdated bathrooms, I’ve got you covered with an easy way to find fixtures for your bathrooms in one spot (below, that is!).

Not only have I curated (and categorized) trending bathroom fixtures for you in this blog post, but we’ll also cover some of your most pressing questions when it comes to choosing fixtures (e.g. should all fixtures in the bathroom match?).

Let’s get started! Please note that affiliate links are used for your shopping convenience. You can read my full disclosure here.

WHAT TYPE OF FIXTURES ARE USED IN THE BATHROOM?

There are many fixtures that are used in bathrooms … from plumbing fixtures to cabinet hardware to bathroom accessories. I’ll share a thorough checklist (below) from the ‘Room for Tuesday’ blog, but please note that I have not curated products for all items on this list (e.g. toilet, sinks, etc.).

This blog post focuses primarily on lighting fixtures, cabinet hardware, sink faucets, and shower fixtures.

SHOULD ALL FIXTURES IN THE BATHROOM MATCH?

There are conflicting opinions when it comes to matching fixtures.

I’ll share my opinion BUT remember … this is YOUR house and you do what makes YOU happy!

My general rule-of-thumb is to match all hardware finishes in a small room like a bathroom. However, many designers are comfortable with the idea of mixing and matching hardware.

The ‘safest’ route is to match your hardware in your bathroom; you can always bring in other finishes through your accents (psst … this goes for your entire home).

I like to stick to the same ‘family’ of products or at least a very similar style of hardware in a bathroom. We have the Delta Dryden ‘family’ of products in our primary bathroom and Delta Lahara products in our secondary bathrooms.

I’ve curated several options below to make shopping for your bathroom finishes SO much easier and less overwhelming.

Keep in mind that many of the products I share in this blog post can be purchased in multiple finishes (i.e. gold, nickel, and black).

This is a shortlist of some of my favorite fixtures (it’s short on purpose to keep it from overwhelming you with choices). If you want to scroll through tons of bathroom fixture options, I recommend reading ‘6 Great Places to Buy Bathroom Fixtures Online’.

NEXT STEPS

I hope you found this curated (shopping) list of fixtures to be a less overwhelming and easier way to shop for your new home build (or bathroom reno)

I also hope you feel more confident in whether or not you will mix and match fixtures in your bathroom(s). Honestly, it’s your house and you do you!  My own design rule-of-thumb isn’t right for everyone; it’s just how I design my own home :).

If you enjoyed this blog post, I think you might also enjoy my other boutiques of curated design finishes (e.g. lighting boutique, cabinet hardware, etc.).

I designed my own custom home from the ground up, inside and out. A home that is cozy, comfy, laid out perfectly for the way my family lives, and makes us happy every single day. Oh, and did I mention I did this all without blowing the budget?!

Yep, it’s true. I’ve been there, done that, and actually lived through it … and you will too. Pinkie promise!
