It’s almost time to decorate for the holidays, so I want to go ahead and start giving you some inspiration with my neutral yet whimsical Christmas decor home tour from 2018!  

I decorate my home for the holidays the SAME way I decorate in general … very simple and neutral with little pops of color!

I am SO excited for you to see how I create an overall neutral Christmas palette while weaving in some colorful pieces to add fun and whimsy to this magical time of year!

CHRISTMAS FRONT PORCH

My front porch holiday decor sets the tone for what you’ll see once you walk through my front doors! I incorporated lots of (faux) greenery this year and fun details like this adorable pom garland!

I hung these inexpensive and beautiful faux wreaths with these heavy-duty strips that won’t destroy my real wood door!

NEUTRAL CHRISTMAS KITCHEN DECOR

I keep my white kitchen decor pretty simple all year … and Christmas is no exception! I love how the (faux) garland adds life to this space! As does the adorable flocked mini tree (similar linked)! I added a touch of color with the holiday tea towel (similar linked), berry plant, and my Nora Fleming mini! 

WHIMSICAL TREE + MANTEL DECOR

I am not your typical home blogger … I don’t have a beautifully planned and decorated tree! My tree is full of ornaments my daughters have made over the years (these are my absolute FAVS), my Christopher Radko collection that my mom started for me when I was young, and other random ornaments that I love and make me happy! I did add DIY silver metallic bows as a finishing touch!

My mom made our needlepoint Christmas stockings! She spent countless hours creating these treasured stockings for the entire family (all 16 of us)! I absolutely love Brad’s … it’s a snowboarding Santa because Brad is an avid boarder! You can find similar stockings HERE!

This year I added these (similar) whimsical townhouses to my Christmas decor … they are so GORGEOUS in person! 

Want in on a secret?! These aren’t real gifts! I wrap fake gifts because it adds to the overall decor! This is the paper I will use to wrap all my real gifts too!

CHRISTMAS STAIRS: A TWIST ON GARLAND 

I love my flocked branches that I top with DIY gold ribbons! I am NOT a DIY girl, but these are simple to make!

My window seat is the perfect spot to enjoy ‘bucks and a cozy blanket while reading!

NEUTRAL CHRISTMAS DINING ROOM 

I added more formal touches to my dining room! I love this flocked garland that I purchased this year! 

CHRISTMAS BEDROOM DECOR

This nostalgic pillow travels around my house every Christmas season (no pun intended)! I think it looks great in just about any room!
